Parties may need transfer property between either related or non related persons for a variety of reasons, and at Victorian Property Settlements we strive to adapt to all of our clients individual needs.

As a general rule we can complete a party to party transfer within 1-2 business days, however due to individual specific this may be longer due to third party requirements. For example, Parties who a related by birth or marriage need to have a manual stamp duty assessment of which the State Revenue Office requires 28 days to action, and the property may be encumbered by a mortgage requiring a similar period of time for their legal offices to review.

For this reason and as best practice we advise parties to obtain advice prior to entering into an arrangement, and also to speak to our office one on one for tailored advice.
